Welcome to our website! We are a dedicated research group that explores the intriguing realm of systems chemistry using the powerful tool of dynamic combinatorial chemistry. Our work revolves around constructing and controlling complex chemical systems, enabling them to dynamically generate functional molecules for a wide range of applications.

 

Unlike targeted genetic modification in Synthetic Biology, our research approach centers on the principles of systems chemistry. By harnessing the power of dynamic combinatorial chemistry, we can create highly intricate and adaptive chemical systems that possess the ability to reconfigure themselves in response to external stimuli. This remarkable property opens up exciting opportunities for generating and optimizing functional molecules with advanced functionalities. Our efforts in systems chemistry have yielded significant achievements since our establishment in Finland in 2016. We have made remarkable strides in developing novel drug delivery systems, tackling drug-resistant cancer using dynamic combinatorial approaches. Furthermore, our research has led to the creation of efficient photocatalysts for hydrogen production under visible light, addressing the pressing energy challenges of our time. Additionally, we have successfully designed eco-friendly supramolecular plastics, contributing to global efforts in combating white pollution.
